Psalm 91 by Suzanne Peterson
1. Those who dwell in God’s secret place stay steady and fixed in His Highest place.
2. I say, "He’s my fortress, my God on High, on Him I will lean and trust and rely,
3. For He will deliver me from any harm 4. under the protection of His outstretched arm."
5. There’s no need to fear things that bump in the night or big ugly giants, no matter what height,
6. or sickness that roams around in the dark, looking to bite you but only can bark.
7. For a thousand may fall, ten thousand too, 8. but you will just watch, it will not come near you.
9. Because God’s your refuge, evil can’t make a dent. 10. No plague or calamity can come near your tent
11. He gives His angels charge over you to defend and protect you in all that you do,
12. to keep you from falling or stubbing your toe 13. clearing your path wherever you go.
14. God says, "You’ve set your love upon me so I’ll set you on high for all to see.
15. When you call out My Name, you're never forsaken all your pains and your troubles, I've already taken.
16. I will satisfy you with a good life that's long and provide you salvation, for to Me you belong."
